There are many beach wedding companies to choose from and though I have very qualified competition out there, here are a few things to consider about our company when choosing a beach wedding company.
Beach Weddings by Joanie is a LOCAL company that stays local
Meaning we are right here in Cocoa Beach. We are not traveling a long distance to get to the beach to set up or perform your wedding. We do not service all of Florida or both coasts, just right here in the Cocoa Beach area and surrounding beaches of Brevard County. We never have far to go. We basically stay in our own neighborhood and usually no farther than our back yard! You never have to worry about long commutes to the beach with us.
Being local, we all have a love and respect for our beaches and community that only comes from living here. I personally have called Brevard County my home for over 28 years.
Beach Weddings by Joanie has a convenient office/studio
When you see 103 N. Atlantic Avenue, Cocoa Beach on a search engine map, you will actually find a building with "Beach Weddings by Joanie" on the door when you arrive!
I am very proud of the beautiful meeting room for consultations or just for getting together to discuss how things are coming along with your wedding plans. I realize not everyone can have a face-to-face meeting. Destination brides correspond mostly through emails and phone calls but you are always welcome if you are in the area during your wedding planning time. See photos of our office/studio

Beach Weddings by Joanie has beach access right in our back yard
Right out the back door of our office is the ocean. This beach is great, less crowded most of the time because it is a local’s beach and not a “park” beach. Park beaches are popular beaches not just for beach goers but for beach wedding companies as well. This means at times there can be 1-4 other weddings going on at a time. Though in my experience this is usually not a problem it is just a fact. I am more than happy to use the park beaches but do offer the adjacent beach as a great alternative. We go to the hotel beaches when you are having a reception there or permission, or just a favorite beach that we can have decent access to. But I have found this beach with the bridal room described below to be an ideal situation!
Though I can never guarantee anything, you will usually find a quarter of the people out on this beach. Mostly locals and surfers.. lots of friendly people on our beach.. NO beach is secluded... all beaches are public!
Need a place to get ready???
We have a Bridal Room!
Right inside our office with the beach right behind us we have a Bridal Room designed especially for you by me, so I am especially proud of this, no other company offers this. Why drive over in your gown? For those destination brides staying in Orlando, this is especially good for you. Don't change in a beach park restroom! When you use the beach behind our office you have free use of our bridal room.
Do your hair and make up etc. Bring your bridal party and enjoy the experience... don’t stress... just relax... we can even arrange for someone to come and do your hair and makeup. Just ask for a referral.
Once you are all ready we just walk out the back door... a short walk to the beach and you walk down the aisle. The groom can even be relaxing inside in another area if time allows and then we get him to the beach to greet guests and await your arrival.
Small weddings with 10 guests or less…(maybe a few more)
We have a small inside area for alternative plans
Though our plan is always to do everything we can to have a beach wedding and all brides and grooms are given policies and procedures describing in detail what the plans are for weather related issues at the time of contracting...
We do have a small area in our office for small weddings if this ends up being the case. Of course we make other arrangements for larger weddings and again, they are all discussed at time of contract or contact me directly. I will be happy to discuss.

Whether you are a "destination" bride or a "local" bride, from day one Joanie will promptly respond to your first email, phone call or form mailer. Joanie will lead the entire journey from contract to wedding day and she will personally make this experience as easy as possible... always available by email or phone and when possible, in person.
On wedding day her professional staff, whether it is another officiant besides her, her professional photography staff led by Michael Howard, her videography vendors, talented florist Andrea, etc., they will all assure your day is stress free and memorable!
